# Independence Day Celebration

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, Friends attended the 21st anniversary celebration of Timor-Leste's Independence Day in Rowville. We are thrilled to share some wonderful photos from the event. 

During the celebration, Ambassador Ines Almeida and other experts delivered a message that Timor-Leste will be facing more climate disasters in the near future. They emphasized that this could be a focus of friendship groups going forward. In her speech, the Ambassador also made special mention of the work of Friends of Lospalos.
